We are perfectly located to be your base for exploring the surrounding area. Donna Nook, with its sandy beaches and nature reserve, is just a two-minute drive away, as is the village of North Somercotes; which boasts two pubs, two convenience stores and a number of food establishments, including a Chinese takeaway, pizzeria, Indian restaurant and fish and chip shop. We are also close to a number of nearby villages, which can offer more pubs and restaurants.

A little further afield are the towns of Louth (15 minutes), the picturesque historic capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds and award-winning market town, and Horncastle (40 minutes), a thriving market town famed for antique-selling. We are also within driving distance of Mablethorpe (20 minutes), Cleethorpes (25 minutes), Grimsby (25 minutes away), Lincoln (1 hour) and Hull (1 hour), which all offer shopping and attractions. Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe and Skegness (50 minutes) also boast blue flag beaches and are nationally-renowned seaside resorts.

Our picturesque and serene part of the world is perfect for visitors all year round. The spring and summer months will be blooming and in autumn the harvest will be in full swing, whilst the later months of the year (October-December) see our local beach host of one of the largest grey seal colonies in the UK, providing a breeding ground for over 1500 pups each year.

Whether you want to visit a fine medieval city, stroll the streets of market towns with their independent shops, visit a local museum, while away the hours in country pubs, cycle around pretty villages, have a day out at the seaside, spend the day fishing or bird watching, or roam through sand dunes and nature reserves – all can be found in close proximity to Meals Farm Holiday Cottages.

As the birthplace of Newton and Tennyson, Lincolnshire is the perfect place to relax, expand the lungs and mind and explore the fascinating landscape, scenery and heritage; which is all close at hand.
